Mailbox Monday – May audiobook splurge!
Mari Reads is hosting Mailbox Monday this month. Check out other Mailbox Monday posts at the Mr Linky at her blog.
Here’s a rundown on the titles I have welcomed into my home this last month or so:
THE WHITE TIGER by Aravind Adiga (audio)
BLACKBERRY WINE by Joanne Harris (audio)
PEOPLE OF THE BOOK by Geraldine Brooks (audio)
ECHO BURNING by Lee Child (audio)
As you can see, I’ve had a little audiobook splurge – I had a few unused Audible credits up my sleeve and because I purchased 4 books during April Audible have given me another $10.00 I can spend during May.
Have you listened to a great book in audio recently?
What audiobook do you recommend I put my $10.00 towards?
Special Offer – Get Your First 3 Months at Audible for $7.49/month!

Wow, some fabulous selections! I read People of the Book and loved it, so I’m curious to see how the audio version is. I would definitely recommend The Help by Kathryn Stockett, Never Let You Go by Kazuo Ishiguro (narrated by Emilia Fox), or The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot (AMAZING). Have fun!
I love Audible!
If you haven’t read Laurie R. King, I’d strongly recommend The Beekeeper’s Apprentice as an audiobook.
Enjoy your reading!
Ooh, some new audiobooks! I hope they’re all fantastic! I love Maggi-Meg Reed’s narration, so I suggest you look for something she’s read.
I hope they’re all good listens! I enjoyed (in the past few months):
- Major Pettigrew’s Last Stand by Helen Simonson (will be on my 2011 Favorites list!)
- Pictures of You by Caroline Leavitt
- The Paris Wife by Paula McLain
Happy listening!
Thanks all, just loving all your suggestions… now how to choose?!?
I have not listened to many audiobooks. I get distracted so easily but now I am wondering if I just haven’t found the right narrator. I loved the book The Help so I may just give that one a try.
Enjoy your audio- books.
Enjoy your books and thanks for sharing!
