Booklover Mailbox – Mr Penumbra, Ghost Lights, Watering Heaven and Puppet Shows
Here are the books that entered my home over the past few weeks:
Bought these at the post Christmas online sales,
and received these for review.

I have been looking forward to reading Mr Penumbra’s 24 Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan for some time.
After reading such great reviews of the recently released Magnificence by Lydia Millet, I did a bit of research and found Magnificence is the third book in a cycle of novels that started with How The Dead Dream. However the synopsis for the second title in the book series Ghost Lights appealed to me more (and received better reviews than the first title, was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize) so I thought I would start there.
Watering Heaven by Peter Tieryas Liu and Puppet Shows by Michael Frissore are both short story collections that I hope to read as part of the Short Story Summer Challenge.

Mary, Elizabeth, Kathy, Holly – Yes, I can’t wait to read Penumbra. My library had it in ebook but didn’t want to have to join the waiting list, so bought it instead so I could read it at my leisure.
TBM – Hope you enjoy yours too.
Mari, Suko – I think the black and white cover art of Watering Heaven is particularly striking.
The 24 hour bookstore is a book I’ve head of and seems great. I don’t know the others, but I’m sure you’ll have a good time with them.
