I was captivated by the 2012 release from M J Rose The Book of Lost Fragrances and so I am excited to be reviewing her next title being released in May 2013, Seduction. Booklover Book Reviews will be the Historical Fiction Virtual Book Tour stop on 10 April.
Kate Forsyth’s last novel Bitter Greens, a wonderfully imaginative and colourful retelling of the Rapunzel fairytale held a place in my Best Books of 2012 list. Her latest novel set for release on 18 March, The Wild Girl, tells the story of a young girl that lived next door to the well known Grimm brothers in early nineteenth century Germany. The beautiful chunky Vintage paperback that arrived in my mailbox last week was signed by the very sweet Aussie author.
Another Sun by Timothy Williams is set for release by Soho Press in April 2013. The synopsis describing a strong female lead investigating a murder in the exotic setting of Guadeloupe in the Caribbean caught my attention. I have not read anything from Timothy Williams before, but The Observer named him one of the 10 Best Modern European Crime Writers.

The Kate Forsyth looks lovely – and signed too! Awesome
Sam – Yes, I have been looking forward to this, ever since Kate mentioned last year the story concept she’d been working on.
I hope they’re all good reads!
They all look good, but The Wild Girl stands out to me. Enjoy!

I haven’t heard of any of these books – looking forward to your review, they look very good.
I’m reading The House Girl by Tara Conklin a historical novel (about slaves) and a modern one too (about finding out about one of the slaves and her descendants). A wonderful read.
The Rose and Forsythe books look so very good. Enjoy them all.
Mary – Thanks, I am looking forward to these.
Kathy – If Forsyth’s last novel is anything to go by, The Wild Girl should be really good.
Man of la Book, Tribute Books Mama – I look forward to comparing our reviews of Seduction. Rose’s writing style in The Book of Lost Fragrances was a delight.
Judith – Glad to hear you are enjoying The House Girl, it is a title that seems to be everywhere at the moment.
Mystica – Hope you have a great reading week.
Seduction is showing up in lots of mailboxes! Enjoy!
