No Place Like Home by Caroline Overington - An exciting October release from this Aussie Author, ebook courtesy of Random House Australia.

The Comb-over by Adrian N Bravi - An Italian title translated by Richard Dixon, being released by Frisch & Co. a digital publisher specialising in translations. I’ve recently read and enjoyed another title in translation from this publisher, I Stole the Rain by Elisa Ruotolo – review coming soon.

The Devil I Know by Claire Kilroy – This book was released in the UK some time ago now, but I have a review copy to celebrate its release in paperback in the US by Grove Atlantic in Feb 2014.

What Westerners Have for Breakfast, Five Years in Goa by John McBeath – This travel memoir, released this month, is one of two I received from Aussie publisher Transit Lounge who have a real knack for picking quality content. The second is Love and Terror on the Howling Plains of Nowhere by Poe Ballantine, a crime memoir.

The Devil I Know sounds especially interesting because I visited Ireland during the years of the Celtic Tiger.

I like the new look! Have a good week!

      Thanks Mary – you too.
I’m not lucky enough to have visited Ireland but for some reason it’s one of the places I’m drawn to as a setting for fiction – perhaps the character of the people?
