Daily Book Wishlist – 6 -12 September 2014
Lots of literature this week, a smattering of satire (in translation nonetheless) and a non-fiction title, here are the titles that were featured in my Daily Book Wishlist twitter series this week:
A Winter’s Tale by Mark Helprin
Girt, The Unauthorised History of Australia by David Hunt
The End of Mr Y by Scarlett Thomas
The Crying of Lot 49 by Thomas Pynchon
A Young Man’s Guide to Late Capitalism by Peter Mountford
Weapons of Mass Diplomacy by Abel Lanzac
Have you read any of these titles? Would you like to?

had to study closely The Lof of Crying 49 for a major entrance school exam in France decades ago, and reread it recently: shocked at how I managed back then to write so many essays on that thing. it no longer does anything to me. good luck!
I’ll admit Pynchon feels like someone I should read – read so many highbrow glowing reviews of his writing.
