Book Lover’s Day and Bedtime Reading
August 9th is National Book Lover’s Day (US) and to celebrate Casper, a mattress company who offers to read their customers bedtime stories, has asked us to share our favourites.
So, I am a big bedtime reader.
When you don’t need to get up early the next morning…
… there is nothing better than getting lost in a story for hours, to be transported away to another time and place.
Dramatic historical fiction can be perfect on these occasions. I’ve spent some memorable evenings with these titles.

On these occasions I have also been known to enjoy gritty crime and psychological thrillers, but these do come with the risk of bad guys appearing in your dreams!
