Other Bookish Banter
We looked at my review rating statistics and best books of 2015 so far and celebrated Booklover’s Day with a round-up of our favourite titles for bedtime reading.
I shared my ‘5 tips for getting the most out of your writers festival experience’ and ten books being released in September 2015 that have caught my eye.
We welcomed new titles into our home and went to the opening night of the Queensland Poetry Festival.
The Aussie Author Challenge 2015 is going strong, with a total of 141 reviews published by 26 registered participants thus far. There’s still plenty of time to join in the appreciation of great Australian literary talent (plus earn extra entries in giveaways of new release titles).

Author Interviews
Q&A with Claire Varley, author of The Bit in Between — The delightful Claire joined us to chat more about her debut, the power in funny-sad stories and her views on the ‘published author before 30’ club. We also discuss her Netflix addiction and the title she is working on now.
Q&A with Kate Forsyth, author of The Beast’s Garden — Kate discusses the impact the research for The Beast’s Garden had on her, explains her ability to see images or pictures when she hears certain words or songs, and shares details of the next fairy-tale-infused historical novel she is working on, tentatively called Briar Thorns.
