2014 Aussie Author Challenge
The Aussie Author Challenge is back for its fifth year!
Whether you are a patriotic Australian, an aspiring or armchair tourist or simply an international reader wanting to discover some talented new authors and interact with like-minded readers, the Aussie Author Challenge could be for you!
The objective of this challenge is to showcase the wonderful diversity of the work being produced by Australian authors.
Due to popular demand there will be a broader range of participation levels for the Aussie Author Challenge in 2014:
JOEY, WALLABY, WALLAROO and KANGAROO
The keen eyed will notice these animals are listed in order from smallest to largest — as the size of the animal increases, so too does the challenge!
This dedicated page here at Booklover Book Reviews will be your one-stop shop for the challenge. Read on to decide which level suits you and how you can get involved!

Well done!
Just reviewed The Great Zoo of China and only have one review to write and I’ve finished the challenge for 2014, woohoo!!! Almost there…
Sorry Joanne, I accidentally pasted my latest book review into the ‘completed’ section rather than the book review section. i hope you can delete it from the completed section. sorry about that!!
No worries at all Sarah – all sorted.
Thanks :-)
Oh no, I accidentally posted in the Completion Linky section, could you please delete? Sorry :-(
No worries Tracey – that link deleted now – thanks.
Thanks Jo, hope you’re having a great weekend.
A very bookish weekend actually – spent all yesterday at the Brisbane Writers Festival.
Nice one, did you meet any authors?
Hooray, I’m almost finished the challenge, just one more to go! Oh no, I just realised I don’t have enough male authors. Better keep working on this challenge.
Hi Joanne,
I was just wondering if audio books count towards the Aussie Author Challenge? I just finished listening to a great audio book “the family frying pan” by Bryce Courtenay, but not sure whether to add it to my Challenge list or if the Challenge is really just for actual books read, not listened to?
Thanks.
Sarah
Any Aussie authored title you write a review for is included Sarah – I love audiobooks.
Great! Thank you :-) I’ll add it in
I just posted my review of Craven by Melanie Casey and am running a giveaway for your chance to WIN a copy. Entries close 3 August 2014.
Sounds great Tracey!

Hi there, I’m trying to add some book review links but I think I’m doing something incorrectly as I can’t find where to add the actual title of the review!
Deb
All fixed! Welcome to the challenge.
Hi Jo, The linky for adding review links has disappeared!
Thanks so much for letting me know Shelleyrae. Turns out my linky subscription hadn’t automatically renewed – all fixed again now.
