Daily Book Wishlist – 4 -10 May 2014
A streak of satire and feel good fiction, novella and translation, here are the titles that were featured in my Daily Book Wishlist twitter series this week:
The Second Rule of Ten (A Tenzing Norbu Mystery) by Gay Hendricks and Tinker Lindsay
The Mongolian Conspiracy by Rafael Bernal
Care of Wooden Floors by Will Wiles
The Mezzanine by Nicholson Baker
This Book Will Save Your Life by A M Homes
History of the Rain by Niall Williams
Lost for Words by Edward St Aubyn
Have you read any of these titles? Would you like to?
* Read about the epiphany that spawned this Daily Book Wishlist feature.
I have read The First and The Second Rule of Ten and have enjoyed them
Tenzing is such a lovely character isn’t he.
I haven’t heard of them, though I’ve heard of St. Aubyn. I love this post idea.
Thanks Charlie – glad you’re enjoying the lists. I’m certainly enjoying compiling them, and I’ve just published my first review of a title featured in my first Daily Book Wishlist list, Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency.
I’d like to get hold of Edward St Aubyn
Yes, I thought the scrutiny of a literary award judging panel’s motives sounds like a great premise for an entertaining novel.
